Delete Account

In short: you can delete your Lectio account from inside the app, on
one screen:
Profile → Account → Delete account. Deletion cannot be undone. If you
cannot reach the app, write to
info@lectioapp.co.
Deleting from the app
- Open Lectio and sign in to your account.
- Go to the Profile tab in the bottom bar.
- Tap the Account row.
- Tap Delete account at the bottom of the screen.
- Type DELETE in the confirmation field and tap Delete forever.
Requesting deletion by email
If you cannot reach your phone or your account, write to info@lectioapp.co
from the email address on the account. We complete the request within 30 days at the
latest; writing from the account's own address is how we verify it is you.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, the following is removed and cannot be recovered:
- Your account details: email address, name, profile photo if you have one, and optional
profile fields such as date of birth and gender.
- Everything you uploaded: PDFs and slide decks, photos of notes, links you pasted, and
audio you recorded or uploaded.
- Everything generated for you: lecture script and audio, quiz questions, flashcards, the
cheat sheet, and the questions and answers from the "Ask" screen.
- Your usage records: listening time, quiz scores, card review records, streak and XP, and
the exam dates and courses you entered.
- Your notification token and your app preferences.
What is retained, and for how long
- Quota and abuse-prevention records: the ledger rows that count how many lectures
were produced carry no personal content (no text, no audio, no name) and are kept for
accounting and abuse prevention for as long as is technically necessary.
- Payment records: Google Play or Apple takes the payment; your card details never
reach us. Those records live with the store under its own retention periods.
- Error logs: technical records kept for fault diagnosis expire automatically after a
short period.
Cancel your subscription first
Deleting your account does not cancel your subscription. If you have one, cancel it on
the store side first: on Android, Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → Lectio → Cancel;
on iPhone, Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions → Lectio → Cancel.
